Virat Kohli needs 94 runs to break India legend Sachin Tendulkar's all-time record in One-Day Internationals. Kohli could become the fastest man to reach the landmark of 14,000 ODI runs, surpassing Sachin Tendulkar.

Tendulkar set the record in his 350th ODI innings during an ODI against Pakistan in Peshawar in February 2006. He had scored a century in that match but India lost the match by 7 runs (DLS method). Kohli, currently, has 13906 runs to his name from 283 ODI innings at an average of 58.18 and a strike-rate of 93.54 with 50 centuries and 72 half-centuries.

Since the 2023 ODI World Cup final against Australia, Kohli has played only three ODIs. In the ODI series against Sri Lanka last year, Kohli notched 58 runs from three games at an average of 19.33, with scores of 24, 14 and 20. So, he will look to bounce back in his favorite format.  

Virat Kohli needs 329 runs to become the second-highest run-scorer in ODI cricket history. Kohli currently has 13906 runs in ODIs and is placed at three in the pecking order below Sachin Tendulkar (18426) and Kumar Sangakkara (14234).

To achieve that massive feat, Virat needs to be equally good against pace and spin. Spin has troubled Virat at home in the last few years especially on turning tracks.
