Municipal polls in Odisha: BJD leads in 76 civic bodies, counting underway

The results will decide the fate of 6,411 candidates. BJD candidates were leading in 73 civic bodies for the post of chairperson.

Odisha: Polling underway in 109 urban local bodies amid tight security

Voting will continue till 5 pm across 47 municipalities, 59 NACs (Notified Area Councils) and three municipal corporations. Over 40.55 lakh people are eligible to exercise their franchise in the general elections to the ULBs. Counting of votes will take place on March 26.

Nagaland urban local bodies polls: 2 killed in clashes polls

Two persons were killed while several others suffered injured in clashes between the police and a mob as groups of people rampaged government properties since last night in Dimapur and Longleng districts, even as polling to some Urban Local Bodies in Nagaland were held today.
