UP panchayat polls 2021: Counting of votes for 187 posts in 43 districts today
The counting of votes for 187 posts across 43 districts for UP panchayat polls will begin on May 11 at 8 AM. The voting was held on Sunday after polling was cancelled following the deaths of the candidates.

UP Panchayat Election Results 2021: History-sheeter Ramdas Pal wins from Kotia
Defeating his nearest rival Lallu Pasi by 486 votes, Pal, who is in jail, filed his nomination from there. The UP Gram Panchayat Election 2021 was held in four phases across 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh. The counting of votes began Sunday (May 2) morning at more than 825 centres across the state.

The teachers` federation alleged that from training to polling, the SEC did not follow the requisite Covid-19 norms anywhere, which has made the situation more frightening. The teachers` bodies have decided to boycott vote counting for the panchayat elections on May 2. The Covid-19 protocols will be strictly followed during counting of votes at the district headquarters.
