Here's why Rafale can become a game changer for India with Sukhoi Su-30MKI
Five Rafale fighter aircraft took off from France's Istres airbase on Monday (July 27) for India. These fighter jets are scheduled to land at Ambala Air Force Station on Wednesday (July 29) after covering a distance of almost 7,364 kilometres. The five Rafale are the first batch of the 36 supersonic omnirole combat aircraft that India is buying from France.

Astra, Pinaka: India's indigenous missiles to add firepower to Army, IAF, Navy
Amid the border tension with China, India on Thursday approved the proposal for procurement of 21 MIG-29 along with upgradation of existing 59 Mig-29 aircraft from Russia and procurement of 12 Su-30 MKI aircraft from state-run aerospace from Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL), with focus on indigenous design and development.

IAF deploys more air warriors to boost fighter squadron strength by 20%

IAF not looking at foreign stealth jets or 36 more Rafales
Instead of looking for a foreign-made 5th Generation stealth combat aircraft, the IAF is concentrating on getting the indigenous Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) in its arsenal and also eyeing 114 Medium Multi-Role Combat Aircraft (MMRCA) to enhance its war-waging capabilities, announced Air Chief Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria on Friday.

IAF Sukhoi Su-30MKI successfully test-fires Astra BVR Air-to-Air missile
The missile was test-fired from a Sukhoi Su-30MKI combat aircraft of the Indian Air Force that took off from an airbase in West Bengal. The Astra missiles are equipped with mid-course inertial guidance and terminal active radar homing. They are capable of targeting the enemy aircraft or missiles at short-range (20 km) as well as at BVR (over 70 km).
