NEET result: Education Minister thanks NTA for giving new cohort of doctors
Moments after the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Result 2020 was announced, Union Education Minister thanked the National Testing Agency (NTA). The results were announced at 5 pm at the NEET official websites and the candidates can visit websites--ntaneet.nic.in or at mcc.nic.in to check their marks. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) final answer key was also released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Friday at its official websites.

Education Minister to inaugurate four newly constructed KV buildings on Oct 8
The four KV Buildings to be inaugurated are located at KV Nayagarh (Odisha), KV Mahuldiha, Rairangpur (Odisha), KV Hanumangarh (Rajasthan) and KV No 3 Faridabad (Haryana). As per the Ministry of Education, these four KVs have been constructed at a total cost of about Rs 68.60 crores and have been running in temporary buildings till now. About 4000 students will be benefitted with these newly developed campuses in the states of Odisha, Haryana and Rajasthan. All the four new buildings have been reportedly constructed as per ‘Green Building’ norms and facilitated with Rain Water Harvesting System to ensure maximum water conservation. Buildings are constructed barrier-free for easy access to Divyang people. Ample space for Sports and Physical Activities has been allotted for encouraging students towards fitness.

First-year classes for session 2020-21 to commence from November 1: UGC
The UGC has directed the educational institutions to complete merit/entrance-based admission process by October 2020. The guidelines also stated that in case of delay in the declaration of results of the qualifying examinations, the universities may start the session from November 18, says the latest guidelines issued by the UGC. According to the guidelines, the last date for admissions to fill up the remaining vacant seats will be November 31.

The Centre on Monday released the NCERT eight-week alternative academic calendar for upper primary stage developed under the guidance of the ministry. The alternative academic calendars for students, parents and teachers at primary and upper primary stage have been developed. The Education Minister said that the calendar will empower the students, teachers, school principals and parents to find out positive ways to deal with COVID-19.
