Noida Metro dedicates station to trans, to recruit staff from their community

Earlier in June 2020, the NMRC had decided to rename it to 'Rainbow' station. NMRC's Managing Director Ritu Maheshwari had also announced to provide special facilities and employment opportunities for the transgender community at its Sector 50 Metro Station of the Aqua Line.

Noida Metro resumes service from Sept 7 after five months

The Noida Metro Rail Corporation had on Wednesday announced that the services of the Noida-Greater Noida Metro, also known as the Aqua Line, would resume from Sept 7 The rail service between the twin cities of Noida and Greater Noida were suspended in March due to the outbreak of COVID-19 Provision for suitable signages and announcements for information and awareness of the commuters have been made available inside the stations and trains, the NMRC said

Noida to resume metro services from September 7; Check guidelines

NMRC will run trains with reduced operational timings, ie, 7 AM to 11 PM in the morning and 5 PM to 9 PM in the evening with a frequency of 15 minutes on all days (Monday to Saturday). On Sundays, the services will start from 8 AM to 11 AM and from 5 PM to 9 PM in the evenings. For information and awareness of the commuters, provision of suitable signages and announcements have been made available inside the stations and trains. All lifts will be closed, however, in case of a request for senior citizens and physically challenged passengers, the lift will be made available on request. Every passenger will be screened by thermal sensors.
