Karnataka: 58 girls suspended from college for wearing Hijab, holding protest

Hijab-donning girls in Shivamogga demonstrated against pre-uni college authorities for not letting them enter premises. Girls wearing hijab were denied entry in many colleges in Karnataka. The Karnataka High court has passed interim order in the matter.

The Karnataka government announced that schools up to class 10 will resume from February 14 while the 11th to degree colleges classes and colleges will remain closed till February 16.
