SC seeks Maharashtra's response on validity of new dance bars law

The Supreme Court on Tuesday asked the Maharashtra government if its judgment founded on the Constitution's Article 19 could be taken away by a statute, as it sought the state's response to a plea challenging the constitutional validity of certain provisions of a new law regulating dance bars in the state.
