Delhi: WiFi-enabled 'Dream Gates' to be installed at Heritage Metro stations

The Delhi Metro now boasts of 164 stations in total, spread across a radius of 218km. The new gate have been installed in two stations.

Heritage Line set for Sunday launch

"Commuters using e-wallets like Paytm will be able to enter the Red Fort station. Upon entering the journey details the e-wallet will generate a QR code or a machine-readable code which the special entry gate will read and let the person walk in," a metro official said.

Trial run on Heritage Line between Delhi Gate and Kashmere Gate metro stations to begin today

The 5.1-km-long section, an extension of the Violet Line, will have three stations namely Delhi Gate, Jama Masjid and Red Fort after ITO.
