Heatwave abates in NW India; IMD predicts rainfall in Delhi, UP, northeast

There is no prediction of a heatwave in most parts of the country for the next five days. Isolated light rainfall along with dust storms, thunderstorms are very likely over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. A heatwave is likely in some parts of Vidarbha, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and west Rajasthan on Monday.

Four landslides have been reported in Maharashtra's Raigad due to incessant rains. As many as 16 Telangana districts have been affected by floods on Thursday amid heavy rains and inflows into the state. Heavy rainfall is expected in Kerala on Friday, prompting the IMD to issue an orange alert for the districts of Ernakulam, Idukki, Kozhikode and Wayanad.
