They also said that in some patients, even months after recovery, their oxygen saturation in the blood dropped drown after speaking for a few minutes. On the likelihood of recovered persons contracting the virus again, doctors opined that there were more such cases emerging in recent times. "Damage to heart and lungs in those who recovered from COVID-19 was also a major concern," said one of the doctors.

India registers highest single-day recovery of 82,961 COVID-19 cases
India registered the highest single-day recovery of coronavirus cases on Wednesday (September 16) as 82,961 people got cured of the deadly viral disease in the last 24 hours. According to latest data, Maharashtra alone contributed about a quarter of the new recoveries. It is to be noted that the total number of recoveries (39,42,360) in the country is now four times the active cases.

India’s COVID-19 recoveries rise exponentially, says Union Health Ministry
The Union Minsitry of Health and Family Welfare on Sunday (October 13) said in a statement that India's coronavirus COVID-19 recovery has witnessed a steep exponential rise. According to the ministry, the recovery rate of India now stands at 77.77 per cent. On Saturday, the ministry had said that the country's COVID-19 case fatality rate fell to 1.66 per cent.

COVID-19 recoveries in India near 30 lakh mark, recovery rate at 77 percent
68,584 COVID-19 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours. The number of recovered patients has outpaced the active cases (8,15,538) by more than 21.5 lakh. The total recoveries currently comprises only 21.16 per cent of the total positive cases. The Ministry also informed that currently in India, less than 1/2% of the active cases are on ventilators; 2% are in ICUs; and less than 3.5% are on oxygen support.

India's COVID-19 recoveries near 26 lakh mark, recovery rate rises to 76.28 %
The COVID-19 case tally climbs to 33,87,501 which includes 7,42,023 active cases, 25,83,948 cured cases and 61,529 deaths, as per the Union Health Ministry data. The recovery rate has been recorded at 76.28 per cent, while the COVID-19 case fatality rate has further declined to 1.82 per cent.
