CET for government jobs recruitment likely to be held around September
Union Minister Jitendra Singh said the CET for government jobs recruitment is likely to be held around September this year National Recruitment Agency (NRA) for conducting the CET has been constituted with the approval of the Union Cabinet The first such test is likely to be held in the later part of 2021

'1000 centres will be set up for CET, exams will be held in 12 languages'
Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Monday asserted that 1000 centres will be set up in 700 districts of the country for holding the CET under the NRA. Speaking exclusively to Zee News, the Union Minister said, "A centre will be made in every district. There are 700 districts in India, so there will be 1,000 centres." "Women will be relaxed because many families avoided sending girls to far-flung areas," he added.

National Recruitment Agency to be boon for youngsters, will boost transparency
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday asserted that the National Recruitment Agency will prove to be a boon for crores of youngsters. He added that it will eliminate multiple tests and save precious time as well as resources. Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, he added that this will also be a big boost to transparency.

NRA's Common Eligibility Test to reduce recruitment cycle; Check all details
Some Departments have indicated their intention to do away with any second level test and go ahead with recruitment on the basis of CET scores, Physical Tests and Medical examination This would greatly reduce the cycle and benefit a large section of youth. A single eligibility test would significantly reduce the recruitment cycle The government has sanctioned a sum of Rs 1517.57 crore for the NRA. The expenditure will be undertaken over a period of three years

National Recruitment Agency to conduct CET for Railways, Bank, and SSC: Centre
In a historic decision, the Cabinet on Wednesday approved setting up of the National Recruitment Agency to conduct Common Eligibility Test. Addressing a press conference, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar asserted that the step will benefit the job-seeking youth of the country. "There are almost more than 20 recruitment agencies in central government," said C Chandramouli, Secretary to the Government.

Union Cabinet may discuss proposal to introduce CET for non-gazetted posts
There is a proposal to set up National Recruitment Agency to conduct CET while the test scores to be valid for three years. As of now, aspirants appear for multiple examinations conducted by different agencies at different points of time, for similar posts demanding similar eligibility criteria which places an enormous burden of cost and time.
