Alert! Vehicle ownership transfer rules updated, check new laws HERE

The owner can now put the name of the nominee at the time of registration of the vehicles. The owner of a vehicle has to submit proof of the identity of the nominee. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways on November 27, 2020, had proposed to amend the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989.

FASTag was made mandatory for M and N class four-wheelers sold before December 1, 2017, after the amendment of Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989.

Government introduces new norms for commercial vehicles with national permit

The proposed amendment also provides that Driving License and Pollution Under Control certificates can be carried in physical or digital form.
