Sunday curfew lifted in Madhya Pradesh as no new case recorded in 35 districts

Madhya Pradesh government is ending its Sunday Corona curfew as the COVID-19 situation is under control in the state. The state has set a record for one more time with 9,64,756 doses of COVID-19 vaccines being administered till 7.30 pm since Saturday morning.

Madhya Pradesh: 'Corona curfew' in Bhopal extended till June 1

The essential services and emergency travel are exempted from the purview of the restrictions. The 'Corona curfew' was first enforced on April 12 due to the spike in COVID-19 cases and it has been extended several times. The COVID-19 caseload in Bhopal, as on Saturday, was 1,16,481, including 895 deaths, an official informed.

Amid a spike in coronavirus cases, authorities in Bhopal on Sunday (April 25) extended Janata corona curfew in the state capital. Collector Abhinash Lavaniya today issued an official notification in this regard, announcing an extension in the Janata curfew. It is to be noted that a week-long 'corona curfew' was first imposed in Bhopal city from 9 pm on April 12 to curb the rising cases of COVID-19. It was further extended for another week from April 19 to April 26.
