Unable to detect contrabands, Full Body Truck Scanner is rejected by agencies
Full Body Truck Scanner has been scrapped by the agencies concerned. FBTS began functioning in September 2021, but it failed to detect contrabands. FBTS was installed at a cost of around Rs 23 crore at Attari.

Pakistani intruder shot dead by BSF near Attari border
In the evening, the personnel on duty near the joint check post saw the man walking towards gate number 103 at zero line fence through the railway track. After which, they issued a warning to him and asked him to return. However, Gulnawaz refused to comply with the orders. In retaliation, the BSF personnel opened fire at him and he was shot dead.

India, Pakistan 2nd meeting on Kartarpur Corridor to be held in Wagah today
India and Pakistan are going to hold second meeting on July 14 to discuss the draft agreement for finalizing the modalities of the Kartarpur corridor. The first meeting related technical issues was held on 14th March on Indian side at Attari this time meeting will be held on Pakistan side in Wagha. Kartarpur Corridor proposes to connect the Sikh shrines of Dera Baba Nanak Sahib in Gurdaspur and Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur, Pakistan. The corridor is proposed to provide visa free passage to Indian pilgrims to visit holy site of Gurudwara Darbar Sahib at Kartarpur in Pakistan. Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu laid foundation stone for construction of Kartarpur Sahib Corridor on Indian side at Mann village in Gurdaspur district in Punjab on 26 Novmeber 2018. This has been a long pending demand of sikh community.
