Rumeysa’s condition is caused by Weaver’s syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that causes rapid growth, according to medical experts. Additionlly, Rumeysa’s hands and feet are long too measuring 24.5 cm and 30.5 cm, respectively.

Rumeysa’s condition means that she suffers ongoing physical problems, such as instability and difficulty in walking. Gelgi primarily uses a wheelchair and sometimes walks the help of a walking frame.

This is the second time that Gelgi has achieved the Guinness world record. In 2014 she was named the tallest teenager alive.
Rumeysa advocates for others with rare conditions
Since then, Gelgi has used her platform to advocate for others with rare conditions. The 24-year-old said: “Every disadvantage can be turned into an advantage for yourself so accept yourself for who you are, be aware of your potential and do your best.”
