This Country Tops Foreign Aid List With Rs Rs 2,150,00,00,000 Allocation In India's Union Budget 2025

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has earmarked Rs 5,483 crore for providing aid to foreign countries, marking a slight increase compared to last year's allocation of Rs 4,883 crore for international assistance.

 

Bhutan remains India's largest recipient of foreign aid, receiving Rs 2,150 crore for 2025-26, securing the top position on the list of nations receiving financial assistance from India.

 

This marks an increase from last year's allocation of Rs 2,068 crore to Rs 2,150 crore and with this India continues to be Bhutan's key development partner.

 

The Maldives has also become a significant recipient of foreign aid, with its allocation increasing from Rs 400 crore to Rs 600 crore.

 

Bangladesh has been allocated approximately Rs 700 crore in the Union Budget for 2025.

 

 

Myanmar has been allocated approximately Rs 350 crore in the Union Budget for 2025.

 

Sri Lanka has been allocated approximately Rs 300 crore in the Union Budget for 2025. (Image: ANI)
