Patna: Bihar on Tuesday (November 10, 2020) witnessed the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance winning the majority of the seats in the much-awaited assembly election results 2020. The Bihar assembly election results showed that the Tejashwi Yadav-led Mahagathbandhan had to face yet another loss in the 243-member Bihar Legislative Assembly.

 

 

According to the Election Commission of India (ECI), the NDA won seats 125, while the Grand Alliance could only take 110 seats.

 

 

However, here are few of the famous faces who tasted victory in the Bihar Assembly Election Result 2020.

Tejashwi Yadav, the Rashtriya Janata Dal leader and the Mahagathbandhan`s Chief Ministerial face led throughout the day on the Raghopur Assembly constituency.   

 

Tejashwi beat his rival and Bharatiya Janata Party's Satish Kumar by 38,174 votes. 

 

 

Tejashwi had won the Raghopur seat in 2015 Assembly election as well. The seat was once represented by his father and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad between 1995 and 2005.  

Jitan Ram Manjhi

Jitan Ram Manjhi

Jitan Ram Manjhi, the former Bihar CM and Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) President also won in the Bihar Assembly election 2020. 

 

The 76-year old fought from the Imamganj seat and beat Rashtriya Janata Dal's Uday Narain Choudhary by 16,034.

 

In 2015, he had won by a margin of 29,408 votes.

Ace shooter Shreyasi Singh, daughter of former union minister late Digvijay Singh, who joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Bihar on October 4 has won the election from the Jamui seat.

 

The 29-year old Commonwealth Games gold medallist won by a margin of 41,049 votes. She was placed against Rashtriya Janata Dal's Vijay Prakash.

Mokama MLA Anant Kumar Singh who is considered to be the most talked-about 'Bahubali' in Bihar has also won the Bihar Assembly election.

 

The Rashtriya Janata Dal leader who is currently in jail won by over a margin of 35,750 votes. He defeated Janata Dal (United)'s Rajeev Lochan Narayan Singh.

 

 

Singh was with JDU until a few years ago and was considered a close confidant to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, but in 2015, his relationship with JDU ended.

 

Singh then became an independent MLA and joined the RJD this time.

After trailing for a brief period in the starting trends, Rashtriya Janata Dal's (RJD) patriarch Lalu Prasad's elder son Tej Pratap Yadav took a lead over his rival candidate Raj Kumar Ray of ruling Janata Dal-United (JD-U) from the Hasanpur Assembly seat.

 

 

Tej Pratap, who had won from the Mahua Assembly seat in 2015, won the Hasanpur seat by over 21,000 votes.
