Paatal Lok 2 Star Got Rs 20 Cr Fee For Series? Fact Check On FTII Graduate Whose Classmates Were Rajkummar Rao & Vijay Varma

One of the most talked about web-series this year - Paatal Lok Season 2, won over fans and critics alike. Actor Jaideep Ahlawat who plays Police Inspector Hathiram Chaudhary has impressed viewers with this performance not once but everytime he came on screen in series and movies. Recently, there were rumours of his charging Rs 20 crore fee for Paatal Lok 2. The actor has now reacted to the news. Let's find out more about what he said: 

Reacting to the rumours, he told Hindustan Times, "Arre yaar itna tha toh mujhe bata toh dete. Main kuch kar leta iss paise ka. Hai kahan ye paisa, gaya kahan? (If it was that much, they should have at least told me. I would have done something with the money. Where is this money? Where did it go?)."

The rumour of his sky-rocketing fee went viral on the internet a few days back. However, the actor has refuted the claims.

Born in Kharkara, Meham Chaubisi in Rohtak district of Haryana, Jaideep got his high school certificate from Govt. High School, Kharkara. He attended Jat College, Rohtak. After his graduation, Ahlawat did a MA in English from Maharshi Dayanand University in 2005. He completed his acting graduation from Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) in 2008.

At FTII, actors Rajkummar Rao, Vijay Varma, and Sunny Hinduja were his acting batchmates.

Jaideep told Hindustan Times, "We are still the same, talking nonsense. We have less face-to-face time now, but we are in touch by phone and messages. Whenever we meet, we go back into the student zone again."

Jaideep Ahlawat had a first guest appearance in 2008 in Narmeen, a short film. Later in 2010, he was seen in Aakrosh, Khatta Meetha, followed by Chittagong, Rockstar but it was in 2012 Gangs of Wasseypur that he first got noticed. He went on to star in Commando: A One Man Army (2013), Gabbar Is Back (2015), and Vishwaroopam II (2018) among many other films.

He gained fame after his role in Raees (2017) and Raazi (2018).
