Aleppo ceasefire: Putin says after Aleppo next step will be to reach on complete ceasefire across all Syria

Tokyo: Russian President Vladimir Putin said Friday that the next stage in ending Syria`s bloody civil war will be getting all sides to agree to a national ceasefire.

"The next step (after Aleppo) will be to reach agreement on a complete ceasefire across all of Syria," Putin said on the sidelines of an official visit to Japan.

"We are actively negotiating with members of the armed opposition, with the mediation of Turkey."
