PM Narendra Modi has links with terrorists: Trinamool MP Idris Ali

Kolkata: At a time when the whole country is in shock over an attack at Pathankot air base, Trinamool MP Idris Ali on Wednesday made a shocking and irresponsible comment.

Talking to reporters, the TMC Lok Sabha MP from Basirhat said that he feels that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has links with terrorists, which is why an attack took place at Pathankot.

Ali further said: “Why did the Pathankot attack happen right after PM's visit to Pakistan? This is my personal opinion.”

Trinamool Congress was, however, quick to distance itself from Ali's comment.

“It was a very unhealthy and crass comment. We have written to him and seek his reply,” said Trinamool Congress lawmaker Derek O'Brien.

Saying that the TMC does not like people making crass comments, Derek O'Brien said that the party will take an action.
