Home minister Rajnath Singh on Friday assured the delegation of Pakistan rangers here for the Director General level talks that, Indian forces will not be the first to fire a bullet along the border, but also asked them to ensure that terrorists do not infiltrate into India from its territory.

New Delhi: Home minister Rajnath Singh on Friday assured the delegation of Pakistan rangers here for the Director General level talks that, Indian forces will not be the first to fire a bullet along the border, but also asked them to ensure that terrorists do not infiltrate into India from its territory.

During the talks Rajnath also asserted that both the nations need to be united in controlling terrorism. The Border Security Force and Pakistan Rangers are holding talks here in the national capital to reduce the hostility along the international border.

BSF Director General DK Pathak earlier said that he was satisfied with the outcome of the meeting and added that the talks were cordial, pragmatic and forward-looking.He also said the talks with his Pakistani counterpart Major General Umar Farooq Burki, had been very productive and the disputes have been resolved.

He said that it is due to positivity that the talks have been extended and that the two sides will meet to finalise the nitty gritty of the mechanism.
