Here's what Mangeshkar sisters have to say about Tanmay Bhat's controversial video!

New Delhi: Youtuber Tanmay Bhat has reignited the classic debate on 'freedom of speech' by mocking Indian legends Sachin Tendulkar and Lata Mangeshkar in his 'derogatory' snapchat joke. This act of the 28-year-old comedian has made a lot of celebrities come forward and slam him even on the social platforms. Now, even the Mangeshkar sisters, Asha Bhosle and Meena Khadikar, have reacted to this controversy and they seem to be extremely miffed.

As per a TOI report, originally attributed to Bombay Times, Ashaji has neither watched this video yet nor she intends to.

“I don't want to say anything except for we are talking about a woman (Lata didi), who has worked for 70-80 years of her life, spreading joy and happiness through her music. I now want to wait and watch how many people will stand by us,” the report quoted her as saying.

Meena tai claimed that they haven't discussed this issue with Lata didi as her health is sensitive due to old age.

"The government should take action against this and people should speak up if they love us. We have nothing against humour, provided it's in good taste. Several comedians have mimicked Lata didi in the past. Johny Lever mimics Asha but they are funny. None of that made us angry. This is repulsive," the report further quoted her.

Well, no apology has been issued by the AIB member yet.
