Dubai: New Zealand`s Jeff Crowe of the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Match Referees is officiating in his 250th One-Day International in the ongoing fifth and final match between Australia and Pakistan in Adelaide on Thursday.

The former skipper, who played 39 Tests and 75 ODIs for New Zealand between 1983 and 1990, has become only the third match referee to reach 250 ODIs after Ranjan Madugalle and Chris Broad.

Jubilant with his feat, Crowe said, "It is always an honour to represent ICC and have a continued involvement in the game of cricket. I look forward to adding a few more to the tally."

Adrian Griffith, ICC`s Senior Manager - Umpires and Referees, congratulated former New Zealand player Crowe for achieving the landmark of refereeing in 250 one-day internationals.

"Jeff brought his rich experience as a player into the role of an ICC match referee and has done a fine job of it over the years. I congratulate him on behalf of everyone at the ICC and wish him continued success," he said of Crowe, who officiated in three ICC Cricket World Cups - 2007, 2011 and 2015 as well as in the ICC Champions Trophy in 2006 and 2009.

Crowe has also officiated in 81 Tests and 67 Twenty20 Internationals, including ICC World Twenty20 in 2010, 2012 and 2016.
