মার্কিন মুলুকে খাদে পড়ে মৃত্যু প্রবাসী ভারতীয় দম্পতির

নিজস্ব প্রতিবেদন: বেড়াতে ভালবাসতেন। ভালবাসতেন বেড়ানো নিয়ে লেখালিখি করতে। সেই বেড়ানোর তাগিদই প্রাণ কাড়ল মার্কিন প্রবাসী ভারতীয় দম্পতির। ক্যালিফোর্নিয়ায় একটি খাদে পড়ে মৃত্যু হয়েছে তাঁদের। মৃতদের নাম বিষ্ণু বিশ্বনাথ ও মীনাক্ষী মূর্তি বলে জানিয়েছে সেরাজ্যের প্রশাসন। কীভাবে মৃত্যু জানতে শুরু হয়েছে তদন্ত। 

মার্কিন প্রশাসন সূত্রে জানানো হয়েছে, ক্যালিফোর্নিয়ার ওসেমাইট জাতীয় উদ্যানের একটি ভিউ পয়েন্ট থেকে পড়ে মৃত্যু হয়েছে ওই দম্পতির। প্রায় ৮০০ মিটার গভীর খাদ থেকে তাদের দেহ উদ্ধার করেছেন রেঞ্জাররা। শুধু বেড়ানোর নেশাই ছিল না, বেড়ানো নিয়ে লিখতেও ভালবাসতেন বিষ্ণু ও মীনাক্ষী। সেই সখ পূরণের জন্য Holidays and Happily Ever Afters নামে একটি ব্লগ পরিচালনা করতেন তাঁরা। সেই ব্লগে মানুষকে সেলফি তোলার জন্য ঝুঁকি না নিতে সতর্ক করতেন। তাঁদেরই এহেন মৃত্যুতে শোকস্তব্ধ সহ অভিযাত্রী ও বন্ধুরা।

Could there BE any more pink ? (Any FRIENDS fan here who got the joke?) ... Anyhoo, I am someone who has always unabashedly loved “Pretty Pinks” from the time I can remember and most of my obsessions are all “pinkalicious”!  have always been and will be proud of it and it is safe to say that I am as girly as they come Funny enough, my bff in school was a tom boy! While she was judged for not dressing like a “girl” enough, I was for my affliction to all things pink, sparkly and magic!  ... But, that never deterred us from standing up for what we believed in! We continued to be unapologetically and unabashedly ourselves no matter what. And when this pinkaholic girl heard there is a myriad of magical pink cherry blossoms blooming in NYC, she simply could not resist jumping with joy(with her Hello Kitty umbrella) of living out her pinkalicous pipe dreams!  ... You have ONE LIFE! ওয়েমাইট জাতীয় উদ্যানের একটি পাথরের ওপর থেকে পড়ে ওই দম্পতির মৃত্যু হয়েছে বলে জানানো হয়েছে। কী ভাবে তাঁরা সেখান থেকে পড়ে গেলেন তা অবশ্য জানা যায়নি। মার্কিন প্রশাসনের তরফে জানানো হয়েছে, তদন্ত শেষ হতে সময় লাগবে।
