Take a pan and dry roast the walnuts for 2-3 minutes so that their taste is enhanced. Now let them cool
Take a blender and add roasted walnuts, grated coconut, green chilies, cumin powder,and salt.
For a creamy texture, you can add yogurt or if you want tanginess add tamarind paste.
Now add a little water and grind everything into a smooth and thick chutney. Keep the consistency according to your preference.
You can also add tempering if you prefer for that in a pan heat oil add mustard seeds, curry leaves, and a pinch of asafoetida, then pour the tempering on the chutney.
Now take a spoon taste the chutney, and adjust the seasonings according to your preference.
Step 7: Your tasty walnut chutney is ready, serve it with different dishes or store it for later use.
