Ingredients:

All purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, beetroot puree, milk, egg, vanilla essence

Step 1

In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and sugar to form the base of our pancake batter.

Step 2

In another bowl, mix beetroot puree, milk, eggs, and vanilla essence until smooth and well combined.

Step 3

Slowly add wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Mix until smooth but don’t overmix to keep pancakes fluffy.

Step 4

Heat a pan on medium heat. Pour batter into a heart-shaped mold or cut hearts after cooking. Flip when bubbles appear.

Step 5

Top the pancakes with honey, berries, or whipped cream.
