Wash toor daal and boil it with water, turmeric, and salt until soft. Then mash it well and keep aside.
Mix wheat flour, besan, salt, turmeric, chili powder, and 1 tbsp oil. Add water and knead into a soft dough.
Roll out the dough into thin sheets and cut into small diamond or square shapes.
Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, and peanuts. Then add in the mashed dal, water, jaggery, and tamarind pulp.
Slowly drop the dough pieces into the boiling dal. Stir gently and let them cook nicely for 10-15 minutes.
Add garam masala and adjust salt as per your taste. Let it simmer until the dhokli is soft and the dal is thick.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve it hot with a drizzle of ghee. Enjoy this authentic Gujarati delicacy
