Start by soaking dried chickpeas in water for about 8-12 hours or overnight.

In a food processor add drained chickpeas, garlic, onion and coriander for flavour.

Add spices like cumin, coriander, salt, pepper, and a pinch of baking soda to the mixture.

4.)

Once everything is well mixed, take small portions of the mixture and shape them into balls or patties.

5.)

Heat enough oil for deep frying in a pan. Test the oil temperature by dropping a small piece of the mixture into the oil; if it sizzles immediately, the oil is ready.

6.)

Fry the falafel until they are golden brown and crispy on the outside.

7.)

Serve your crispy falafel with hummus or use it in a veg wrap.
