The US C-17 flight was the last flight by the US military to leave Afghanistan as the US ended its 20-year effort in the country. Major General Chris Donahue, commander of the US Army's 82nd Airborne Division, was the last soldier to leave Afghanistan in a C-17 cargo plane at Hamid Karzai International Airport.
