New Delhi: A rejuvenated Venus Williams rejoined her younger sister Serena in the top 10 of WTA singles' ranking for the first time since 2010.

In the latest WTA rankings released on Monday, 35-year-old Venus climbed to no. 7 and become the oldest woman in top 10, since Martina Navratilova in 1995.

The seven-time Grand Slam champion, who won two titles in China -- Wuhan and Zhuhai -- has 3790 ranking points. Serena, with 9945 points, leads the 2015 year-end rankings.

Often regarded as one the pioneers of the modern day women's tennis, Venus's career was hindered by Sjogren's syndrome -- a energy-sapping autoimmune disease.

Venus was out of the Top 10 for more than four and a half years. She last topped the ranking in 2011 (March 21 to April 3), and subsequently fell off the top 100.

It's the tenth time that the Williams sisters have finished in the year-end top 10 together. And are also the fifth pair in history to finish 10 years in the top 10 together, after Chris Evert & Navratilova (15), Navratilova & Steffi Graf (10), Steffi Graf & Gabriela Sabatini (10), and Monica Seles & Arantxa Sanchez-Vicario (10).

The sisters have finished in top 10 together in 1999-2002, 2004, 2007-2010 previously.
