New Delhi: Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali was on Monday trolled on social micro-blogging site Twitter for his remark on PV Sindhu and Pullela Gopichand.

Speaking to reporters ahead of the felicitation ceremony of the 21-year-old silver medalist, Ali said the government would find Sindhu a better coach for Tokyo 2020.

"The entire country is proud of her. No player could ever reach that level. Thus we are very happy that our daughter from Telangana has earned a name across the world. In future, we will find a better coach for Sindhu. Her current coach is also very good, but we will find a coach for her so that she wins a Gold medal next time," he said.

Considering the fact Gopichand has trained Saina Nehwal (bronze medal winner at London 2012) and Sindhu, everybody on social media was totally shocked at the minister's comment.

Gopi, a former All England champion himself, has also nurtured the likes of Kidambi Srikanth and Parupalli Kashyap.
