VIDEO: Shahid Afridi trumps R Ashwin with 5 for 7 spell in PSL

New Delhi: Spinners ruled the roost on Sunday, as cricket fans witnessed mesmerising spells from India's Ravichandran Ashwin and Pakistan's Shahid Afridi.

While the off-spinner demolished the Sri Lankan batting line up with a four-wicket spell, the leg-spinner went one better to take a five-for. 

The skipper's bowling effort helped set up an eight-wicket win for Peshawar Zalmi against Quetta Gladiators in the PSL 2016. 

Afridi's victims included Akbar-ur-Rehman, Mohammad Nawaz, Sarfraz Ahmed, Mohammad Nabi and Elton Chigumbura.

Pakistan fans will be delighted to see their mercurial skipper bowl so well ahead of the ICC WorldT20, which will be his swansong.
