Global Pollution Rankings: Bangladesh, Pakistan On Top — Check India's Position On The List

According to the ‘World Air Quality Report 2023,’ Bangladesh is the most polluted country in the world, with an average of 79.9 micrograms of particulate matter per cubic meter.

Pakistan is the second most polluted country, with an average of 73.7 micrograms of particulate matter per cubic meter. Both Pakistan and Bangladesh are neighbouring nations.

India ranks as the third most polluted country, with an average of 54.4 micrograms of particulate matter per cubic meter. Bangladesh and Pakistan occupy the top two spots, respectively, in terms of pollution.

Tajikistan ranks as the fourth most polluted country, with an average of 49.0 micrograms of particulate matter per cubic meter. This highlights ongoing air quality challenges in the region, contributing to environmental and health concerns.

Burkina Faso ranks as the fifth most polluted country in the world with an average of 46.6 micrograms of particular matter per cubic meter. The rising pollution over the region leads to significant environmental and health concerns.

Iraq is the sixth most polluted country with an average of 43.8 micrograms of particulate matter per cubic meter.

The United Arab Emirates ranks seventh in terms of pollution, with an average of 43.0 micrograms of particulate matter per cubic meter.
