Good News For Indian Railways Passengers: 10 New Vande Bharat Express Set To Launch On These Routes By PM Modi On Sept 15
The Indian Railways' image and infrastructure is changing rapidly. Modern trains are now defining the image of the railways while safety and security have remained a concern for passengers. While the Indian Railways is working to modernise its trains and tracks, the passengers are all set to get good news on Sunday i.e. September 15. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to announce/launch 10 Vande Bharat Trains during his visit to Jharkhand. There are around 34 routes at present on which the Vande Bharat Express is operating currently.
Which States To Benefit?
The new Vande Bharat Express trains will benefit states like Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh and Telangana.
New Vande Bharat Routes
The new Vande Bharat trains will connect Tata Nagar to Patna, Tatanagar to Berhampur, Varanasi to Deoghar, Durg to Visakhapatnam, Howrah to Gaya, Howrah to Bhagalpur, Hubli to Pune, Nagpur to Secunderabad, Agra Cantt to Banaras and Howrah to Rourkela.
Vande Bharat Train Time
One should keep in mind that these Vande Bharat trains are chair-car trains and not the newly launched Vande Bharat Sleeper trains. The Vande Bharat trains are deployed on routes that can be covered in around 6-8 hours. The timing of the upcoming trains will be officially announced by the Indian Railways.
Vande Bharat Chair Vs Sleeper
The Vande Bharat Express having 16 air-conditioned coaches comes with two executive class coaches. The total seating capacity is 1,128 passengers. Currently, the chair car variant of the Vande Bharat Express consists of 8 coaches with a total capacity of 530 seats. The chair-car trains run on routes where the distance between the source and the destination station is around 600 to 800 kms. In contrast, the sleeper version will feature 16 coaches and offer 823 seats. It will run on longer routes with a distance of more than 800 kms.
Vande Bharat Express Features
The Vande Bharat Express train features an advanced braking system that enhances both acceleration and deceleration. Each coach is fitted with automatic doors, a GPS-based audio-visual passenger information system, on-board hotspot Wi-Fi for entertainment, and highly comfortable seating. The executive class offers additional luxury with rotating chairs. Furthermore, to promote environmental sustainability, the train includes a regenerative braking system that can conserve up to 30% of electrical energy.
