Ahmed Patel dies due to COVID-related comlications, he was a staunch loyalist of Nehru-Gandhi family and he always stood with the family through thick and thin. 

Ahmed Patel was widely regarded by many as one of the most powerful leaders in the Congress but he never joined the government.
