PM Narendra Modi `shares` good relation with Donald Trump, feels US President-elect will be inclined towards India

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi feels that US President-elect Donald Trump will be well inclined towards India.

At a dinner hosted by Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan, Modi held talks with political leaders and shared an informal assessment of Trump's victory and its implications, reported The Times of India.

The daily added that Modi is looking forward to working with Trump with whom he shares a good rapport. The PM, however, refrained from giving any extra detail in this regard.

There was no reason to apprehend any dramatic change in bilateral ties between India and the US, added the PM during the 75 minute-long dinner-cum-discussion session.

Notably, Modi shares a warm relation with outgoing President Barack Obama.

Meanwhile, Republican Hindu Coalition founder Shalabh Kumar, a prominent Indian-American industrialist, said Modi and Trump will be "unparalleled" friends and under their leadership Indo-US trade could reach a whopping trillion dollars a year in less than a decade.
