Leopard barges into Bombay Veterinary College girls hostel, kills dog

New Delhi: In a shocking video, a leopard barged into the campus of Bombay Veterinary College girls hostel and attacked two stray dogs which came in its way, triggering panic among the hostel inmates recently.  

The video footage of the incident that occurred on June 9 was posted by news agency ANI.

The footage shows a big cat jumping onto a dog, trying to attack it on the stairs of the hostel. The tussle continues for a while till the big cat kills the dog. In between, another dog comes to the rescue of the first one, but by then, the leopard had taken the carcass away as his meal. The leopard disappeared into the Aarey jungle area of Goregaon later. 

The girls' hostel is located near Sanjay Gandhi National Park. Stray animals have been regularly spotted roaming near the campus.
