Satna: School children in Satna district will have to say 'jai hind' instead of 'yes sir' from October 01.

The announcement was made by school education minister Kunwar Vijay Shah on Tuesday.

Earlier, the Shivraj Singh Chouhan had made Yoga as an integral part of the school curriculum in Madhya Pradesh.

Haryana, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh also have Yoga in their schools.

On the other hand, Rajasthan has made surya namaskar compulsory in schools.

Interestingly, Shah had hit the headlines in 2015 when he had offered people of Harsud Assembly constituency in Khandwa district to take selfies with him by paying a sum of Rs 10.

He had said that the money would be utilised for the proposed tribal old age home.

However, Shah had clarified that those who were unable to pay the amount were also welcome to take a selfie with him.
