UP Board Class 12th English paper leaked, exam cancelled in 24 districts

UP Board Exams 2022: The UP Board Class 12th English paper has been leaked and the exam has been cancelled in as many as 24 districts, the Yogi Adityanath Government said today (March 30, 2022). 

The UP Board Class 12th English exam was scheduled to be conducted today at 2 PM but was cancelled after the examination question paper was leaked in the Ballia district.

The districts where the UP Board Class 12th English exam has been cancelled are:

1. Agra

2. Mainpuri

3. Mathura

4. Aligarh

5. Ghaziabad

6. Bagpat

7. Badaun

8. Shahjahanpur

9. Unnao

10. Sitapur

11. Lalitpur

12. Mahoba

13. Jalaun

14. Chitrakoot

15. Ambedkarnagar

16. Pratapgarh

17. Gonda

18. Gorakhpur

19. Azamgarh

20. Ballia

21. Varanasi

22. Kanpur Dehat

23. Etah

24. Shamli

It is noteworthy that the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has started conducting the high school and intermediate examinations in the state from March 24. While the high school examinations were slated to be completed in 12 working days, the intermediate examinations were scheduled to be held over 15 working days.

A total of 27,81,654 students have registered for Class 10 exams this year, of which, 12,28,456 are female students and 15,53,198 are boys. On the other hand, as many as 24,11,035 students have registered for Class 12 this year, of which, 10,86,835 are female and 13,24,200 are male students.

In all, 51,92,689 students have registered for the UP board exams in 2022.

UP Board Exams 2022: UP govt to slap NSA against those involved in copying racket

Ahead of the commencement of exams, the Uttar Pradesh government had said that action under the National Security Act (NSA) will be taken against those involved in organised copying racket in high school and intermediate exams conducted by the UP Board of Secondary Education.

The directives were given at a meeting held by Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra with all divisional commissioners, police commissioners, district magistrates and SSPs through video conferencing.

He had said that zonal and sector magistrates should be deputed in districts to conduct copying-free examinations and they should regularly inspect and supervise the examination centres.

Action under the NSA should be taken against those involved in organised copying racket, the officer had said, adding that special attention should be paid to those spreading rumours.

CCTVs have also been installed in each examination hall.
