Earlier, after returning from Daregaon, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde took a rest at his residence in Thane. Following two days of rest, a team from Jupiter Hospital visited his home to conduct tests for dengue and malaria. The test results came back negative for both diseases.
However, Shinde was experiencing recurrent fever due to a rise in white blood cell count. To undergo further tests, he has to Jupiter Hospital for medical evaluation on Tuesday.
Shinde, whose party is part of the BJP-led Mahayuti coalition, has been unwell for the past few days and has been staying at his private residence.
His decision to travel to his village, Dare, in Satara district last Friday fueled speculation that he was unhappy with the way the new Mahayuti government was taking shape.
