Sukma naxal attack: President observes two-minute silence

President Pranab Mukherjee today observed two-minute silence to pay respect to the 25 CRPF personnel who lost their lives in the Naxal attack in Chhattisgarh.

Panaji (Goa): President Pranab Mukherjee today observed two-minute silence to pay respect to the 25 CRPF personnel who lost their lives in the Naxal attack in Chhattisgarh.
Mukherjee was here to inaugurate the 29th convocation of Goa University.

When the function began, organisers requested the President and other dignitaries including Goa Governor Mridula Sinha, Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar and a large number of students present during the function to pay respects to the martyrs.

At least 25 personnel of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were killed yesterday by Naxals' in Chhattisgarh's Sukma district.

Mukherjee had earlier strongly condemned the Naxal attack and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
