Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh met NCP President Sharad Pawar in Mumbai on Thursday. This meeting took place at Yashwant Rao Chavan Institute. They both had a 20-minute conversation. It is being alleged that the meet was related to the recent developments in Mumbai involving Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut.

A 'Sarva Dharma Puja' was conducted at the Rafale induction ceremony, at IAF airbase in Ambala in the presence of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Minister of the Armed Forces of France Florence Parly and Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria.

Minister of the Armed Forces of France Florence Parly was given a ceremonial Guard of Honour on her arrival at Delhi.

Induction ceremony of Rafale jets begin in Ambala.

French Defence Minister Florence Parly arrives in India, this is her third official visit to India since 2017 and one of her very first official trips since the outbreak of the Covid epidemic.

The jets will be inducted into the IAF as part of its No. 17 Squadron, also known as the 'Golden Arrows'. Nearly four years ago, India had signed an inter-governmental agreement with France to purchase 36 Rafale jets under a Rs 59,000-crore deal to boost the IAF's combat capabilities. 

The French delegation will be represented by Ambassador of France to India Emmanuel Lenain, Air General Eric Autellet, Vice Chief of the Air Staff of the French Air Force and other senior officials. A large delegation of senior functionaries of French Defence Industries which includes Eric Trappier Chairman and Chief Executive of Dassault Aviation and Eric Beranger, CEO, MBDA will be present during the ceremony.

The programme will see the Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat, Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria, Defence Secretary Dr Ajay Kumar, Secretary Department of Defence R&D and Chairman DRDO Dr G Satheesh Reddy along with other senior officers of Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces in attendacne to mark the milestone moment in IAF history.

SCHEDULE FOR THE INDUCTION:

The event will start at 8 am and conclude post noon. At 8 am, the entry will be opened. The induction ceremony will take place from 10 am to 11.45 am. From 12 noon to 1 pm, Union Defence Minister and his French counterpart will address a press briefing which will be followed by lunch.
