New Delhi: Union health minister JP Nadda has said that the government is working hard in making health a fundamental right.

As per a report published in news18.com, Nadda stressed on the fact that the government is working effortlessly in making drugs and health facilities easily available to the common and needy.

The Union Health Minister also said that there was a need to decriminalise suicide and after consulting all stakeholders, doctors, the government decide to take this progressive step.

The Mental Healthcare bill which was passed in the Rajha Sabha in August last year received a clearence from Lok Sabha on March 27.

The bill also provides for mental health care and services for persons suffering from mental illnesses.

Nadda also said that the government is doing enough in the medical sector as subsidized medicines are being provided and the prices of stents have been reduced.
