Mumbai: Oscar-winning singer Adele's new album "25" has scaled the summit of iTunes India charts just hours after its global release on Friday. It grabbed the top spot and left behind albums like "Dilwale", "Katyar Kaljat Ghusli" by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and "Tamasha" on iTunes' India charts.
Adele's newly released music video for single "When we were young" from the album has already crossed 17 million views on YouTube. Backed by Universal, "25" is the follow-up to Adele's "21", which spent 24 weeks at the top position on the Billboard 200 chart. Earlier, the "Someone like you" hitmaker called "25" a "make-up record".
"My last record was a break-up record and if I had to label this one I would call it a make-up record. I'm making up with myself. Making up for lost time. Making up for everything I ever did and never did. But I haven't got time to hold onto the crumbs of my past like I used to. What's done is done," she added.
