New Delhi: Not once or twice, Colin Munro has done it thrice! Yes, the left-hander from New Zealand on Wednesday became the first batsman to score three T20I centuries, leaving Rohit Sharma, Brendon McCullum, Evin Lewis and Chris Gayle behind who all have scored two each. (SCORECARD)

Munro set the third and last T20I ablaze as he reached his fifty off just 47 balls at Mount Maunganui after the Black Caps decided to bat against Carlos Brathwaite's men. Munro and his opening partner Martin Guptill laid into the visitors' bowling attack right from the outset and their 136-run opening stand set up New Zealand's mammoth total of 243/5, the highest in their T20I history.

Munro eventually fell for 104 off 53 balls in the last over of the innings after smashing three fours and 10 sixes. His previous two centuries came against Bangladesh and India when he scored 101 and 109* respectively. The ton against Bangladesh early last year also came at Mount Maunganui, while the century against India came to pass at Rajkot in November last year.

New Zealand lead the series 1-0 having won the first game. The second game of the three-match rubber had been washed out.
