Aussie media at it again! Compares Virat Kohli to animals with a horrible post

New Delhi: Just recently Australian newspaper took digs at both Virat Kohli and Anil Kumble for their apparent inappropriate behavior during the Bengaluru Test, and now Fox Sports Australia shared a post on Facebook comparing the Indian captain with animals.

The newspaper had accused Kohli of hurling an energy drink bottle towards an Australian official and had also alleged that Anil Kumble stormed into the match officials' box for clarification over Kohli's dismissal in India's first innings.

To make the already fierce rivalry even worse, Fox Sports Australia shared the following post asking their followers to vote for "Vettel of the week", giving four options, Kohli, A Panda, A Puppy and A Kitten.

"Recent events have prompted a return of our Vettel of The Week award. Kids, ask your grandparents. The rest of you know the drill," the post read.

Vettel, in the urban dictionary lingo is used for the ‘sports villain’ and the Indian captain was put in the same bracket with a dog, a cat and a panda.

Fans from all over the world were taken a back with the media house's disrespectful post, some even terming it as racist, several slammed them in the comments box but FOX Sports Australia, on it's part, remained shameless in it's replies to the comments.

Earlier, the Daily Telegraph, Australia, claimed in its report, “It can be revealed he (Kohli) unleashed an astonishing outburst in the dressing rooms following his dismissal, smashing a Gatorade bottle off a table, where it then rebounded off a television and struck an Australian team official on the leg. Kohli was also swearing in the direction of the Australian box as he left the field and using a throat-slitting gesture to send-off Peter Handscomb late in the Test."

The report further termed Kohli as the worst international captain since Sri Lankan Arjuna Ranatunga.

"The spirit of the game notion has been pronounced dead in the game many times before, but Kohli — a law unto himself — would appear to have killed it off once again with his behaviour some of the worst by an international captain since villainous Sri Lankan leader Arjuna Ranatunga.”
