Samsung Galaxy J5, J7 2016 edition to be launched in India today

New Delhi: Samsung Galaxy J5 and J7 smartphones (2016) are scheduled to be launched in India on May 9.

The price of J5 (2016) was fixed at KRW 290,000 or Rs 17,000, and the J7 at KRW 363,000 or Rs 21,000 in South Korea, where it was launched earlier in the year.

Both smartphones will be launched with metal frame and latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.

Key specifications include:

• Samsung Galaxy J7 - Octa-core processor coupled with 3GB RAM, Galaxy J5 - quad-core processor paired with 2GB RAM
• 16GB internal storage, further expandable up to 128GB
• Samsung Galaxy J7 comes wit a 5.5-inch HD AMOLED display, while Galaxy J5 has a smaller 5.2-inch HD AMOLED display
