Dev Patel ‘uncomfortable’ with big roles

Dev Patel has revealed that he feels uncomfortable playing the lead character in a big budget movie and prefers being part of an ensemble cast.

Washington: Dev Patel has revealed that he feels uncomfortable playing the lead character in a big budget movie and prefers being part of an ensemble cast in a smaller production.
The ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ star described his time on M. Night Shyamalan’s flop ‘The Last Airbender’ as “horrendous.”
“Working on something that big and trying to get heard as an actor is tricky. You feel so diluted and worthless,” Contactmusic quoted him as telling Empire magazine. The 21-year-old said that he would rather work in smaller movies such as his latest project ‘The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel’. ‘‘I would happily shape my career doing great low-budget indies like that. I’m not that hero-type dude, so I’m never going to be playing the handsome lead character,” he added. ANI
