New Delhi: Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmaavat' continues to remain rock-steady in the third week of its release as it stands with its net domestic collection of over Rs 267 crore.

The magnum opus film which stars Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in pivotal roles recently lost many screens at the Box Office after the release of Sidharth Malhotra-Manoj Bajpayee starrer 'Aiyaary' and Hollywood flick 'Black Panther'. However, despite this, the movie raked in Rs 1.75 crore at the Box Office on Friday.

Noted trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the business report card of the movie on his Twitter handle. "#Padmaavat is in no mood to slow down, despite multiple films [new as well as holdover titles] cutting into the market share... [Week 4] Fri 1.75 cr. Total: ₹ 269.50 cr. India biz... Note: Hindi + Tamil + Telugu," he tweeted.

The Bhansali's costume drama, which has been made at a budget of Rs 180 crore, has been declared the first blockbuster of this year.

The film, which is loosely based on the poem 'Padmavat' by Malik Muhammad Jayasi, narrates the story of Rani Padmavati, a Rajput queen who committed self-immolation to protect herself from Sultan Alauddin Khilji.

As per industry experts, the film is expected to cross Rs 270 crore mark during the weekends.

On the other hand, Sidharth Malhotra's 'Aiyaary', that released on February 16, has had a rather dismal start with collections of only Rs 3.36 crores on Day 1.

"#Aiyaary has a DULL Day 1... Opening day biz is lower than Sidharth Malhotra’s last two films: #AGentleman [₹ 4.04 cr] and #Ittefaq [₹ 4.05 cr]… Evening/night shows were slightly better... Sat and Sun biz is extremely crucial... Fri ₹ 3.36 cr. India biz," wrote Taran Adarsh.

The film has been directed by Neeraj Pandey of 'Rustom' fame.
